if you ate 8 slices and there is only 2/3 left the there is 16 out of 24 which is equal to 2/3

If you have eaten 8 slices and that is 1/3, then multiply 8 by 2 and you have 2/3 which = 16. Multiply 8 by 3 and you have 3/3 (whole cake) which = 24
