For the equation (2x - 2) (4x +4)
I got 8x² -8
Can you explain why this is correct or incorrect?

Answer:

(2x - 2) (4x +4)

= 2x*4x + 2x*4 - 2*4x - 2*4

= 8x^2 + 8x - 8x - 8

= 8x^2 - 8
