Although the ancient Games were staged in Olympia, Greece, from 776 BC through 393 AD, it took 1503 years for the Olympics to return. The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896.
The Greeks wanted something to do and they made many different games and I think that they also created the games to give them something to do while they were at war.
Plus both men and women all got to create their own games and the other people were fond of it.
