The formula of a distance between two points:

[tex]d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}[/tex]

We have the points P(2, 2) ans Q(7, 4). Substitute:

[tex]|PQ|=\sqrt{(7-2)^2+(4-2)^2}=\sqrt{5^2+2^2}=\sqrt{25+4}=\sqrt{29}\approx5.4[/tex]

Answer: PQ = 5.4
