Hypertonic cell is when solution (let's say water) is outside the cell more. and the whole point is for the cell to get balanced with water in and out of the cell that is equal. an equal cell is an Isotonic cell. Where like I said, equal solution, or water, is in and out of the cell equally. Hypotonic is where more water is inside the cell. this can cause it to burst due to so much being inside, if it does not equal out to an Isotonic cell.
