Eastern Europe has the economic advantage of being located next to the biggest and developed country that is Russia because of their trading agreements. Since 1991 the European Union (EU) and Russia trade materials through the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. The main exports that EU send to Russia are machinery, manufactured materials, transport equipment, chemicals and medicines.
