A circle has a diameter of 10 cm.

What is the area of the circle? Use 3.14 for π. Round your answer to one decimal place.

area = 78.5 cm²

The area ( A) of a circle = πr² ( where r is the radius )

here diameter = 10 cm ⇒ r = [tex]\frac{10}{2}[/tex] = 5

A = 3.14 × 5² = 78.5 cm²
