I suppose you want to solve the equation for m. To do so, multiply both sides by 8m to get

[tex] 3m = -1 [/tex]

Now divide both sides by 3 to get

[tex] m = -\dfrac{1}{3}[/tex]

m = - [tex]\frac{1}{3}[/tex]

multiply both sides by 8m to eliminate fractions

3m = - 1 ( divide both sides by 3 )

m = - [tex]\frac{1}{3}[/tex]
