It should be 75 or 15?

The equation to this problem would be (2n+5=d)?

So since Mathew has twice the number of dollars his brother has, you would replace n with 35. 2*35=5=d which equals 70+5=75. But I don't really understand what the question is asking, so it could be 15 too.
