Positive Effect- checks and balances ensures that a single beach of government doesn’t receive more power than another branch. In other words, checks and balances protect the people from the abuse of power.
Negative Effect- it is viewed as a complicated and time consuming process by some. Also, a stalemate between the branches is very common.
