The formula of a slope:

[tex]m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

We have:

[tex](4,\ -4)\to x_1=4,\ y_1=-4\\(2,\ 3)\to x_2=2,\ y_2=3\\\\m=\dfrac{3-(-4)}{2-4}=\dfrac{7}{-2}[/tex]

Answer: [tex]-\dfrac{7}{2}=-3.5[/tex]
