Using the formula,

[tex]d= v \times t[/tex]

Here, d is distance, v is the velocity and t is time.

Given, [tex]v = 80 \ mile /hour[/tex] and [tex]t = 2.5 \ hour[/tex].

Substituting these values in above formula, we get

[tex]d = 80 \ mile /hour \times 2.5 \ hour = 200 \ miles[/tex]

Thus, the distance traveled by the car is 200 miles
