It known as primary-process thought. It is engrossed on
immediate gratification of instinctual loads and drives, disregards logic, and
manifest itself during dreaming, in patients in psychotic states, and in young
children. Primary process thinking is the unconscious thinking of the id, which
practices symbols and metaphor.
