The answer is job specialization. This occurs when a job is made up of a small part of a larger task. The employee doing this could quickly become bored because of the routinary tasks. The employee will also be not flexible and will have a harder time adapting to other types of jobs. Job specialization tends to give a low job satisfaction to employees thus will result in a higher absenteeism rate, low morale, and productivity.
